Can I request photocopies or scans of archival material?
Yes, with a few conditions. Generally speaking, the Archives can accommodate small scanning and photocopying requests from researchers. This applies regardless of whether you visit the Archives on campus, or submit a request remotely.
A few cases in which we might not be able to scan or copy material for you:
- Material is too fragile to place on scanner/copier
- We have concerns about copyright restrictions on material
- Material exceeds reasonable amount that staff can scan
- Archivist has reached maximum research time in searching for material on behalf of an off-site researcher
