Q. I am trying to find financial data of some private companies. What database would you suggest?

It can be very difficult, if not impossible, to find financial data for private companies (especially smaller companies). Unlike public companies, private companies are not required to file financial reports with the SEC.

Try these sources and strategies:

4. Explore the company’s website – including their press releases.
