Q. Where can I find historical price data?

Try:

• Mergent Online.
  • Look up a company, click on Equity pricing tab, use the control box to choose time frame and then change Chart to Report to get daily price numbers.
  • Available data goes back 30 years.
• S&P Capital IQ NetAdvantage.
  • Look up a company profile.
  • In the light blue column on the left, under Charting, click on Annotated Stock Chart.
  • Change dates in the upper right or click on MAX.
  • Data available back to 1968.
• Wall Street Journal Historical 1889-2011 (ProQuest)
• Try the Trading Room.

Backup is still available in print (and the Library has scanners/photocopiers):

• Standard and Poor's Security owner's stock guide -- Available in hardcopy (1981 to 2018) in Reference.
• Standard and Poor's Bond guide -- Available in hardcopy (1983-2002) in Reference.
