The Bentley Library provides access to The Economist via ProQuest Central.
If you use the "Journal Finder" search on the homepage of the library website and type in The Economist, you can get to the direct links of the publication within the database where you can then browse or search for the full text of a specific article.
It is important to note that there are two versions/editions of The Economist available in ProQuest - the magazine/print version and the website version. In other words, the articles as they would in the print magazine or on The Economist website.
Here are the direct links to both versions for your convenience:
- Print version available online. (PDF scans of articles available.)
- Online version. (Usually has about a one-day delay before articles appear. Rich text of articles only; no images.)
For those that might be interested, we also have print copies of The Economist magazine available for in-library use only in the current periodicals area of the library.
